Limeline

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

This policy explains how Limeline (“we”) handles personal data. It is written to align with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and PECR.

1. Who we are

Limeline is run by Carapace Capital. We’re a small team building an AI receptionist service. You can contact us through the booking link on this site.

2. Website visitors

When you visit this site, technically necessary data (such as your IP address and time of access) is processed so we can deliver the page. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

3. The demo call

If you ask for a demo call, we process the phone number you type in so we can ring you back and show you how the receptionist answers. We may follow up once about your practice. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in demonstrating the service to a business that asked to see it. We do not ask for your name or your email address for this.

The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person and not a bot is submitting it. Cloudflare processes some technical data to make that check, as set out in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

4. The voice demo on this site

If you press “Hear it talk” or “Talk to it now”, you speak to our AI receptionist through your browser. Your voice is sent to LiveKit, which runs the receptionist for us on servers in the EU, and from there to the services that let it hear and answer you: Deepgram turns your speech into text, a Google language model writes the reply, and Cartesia turns the reply into speech. If one of them is unavailable, a backup of the same kind steps in (AssemblyAI for hearing, Gradium for speaking). A question you type during the call goes the same way.

The call is recorded, and the receptionist says so at the start. We keep the audio and a written transcript for 30 days on LiveKit’s servers in the EU, then they are deleted. We use them to improve how the receptionist answers and to follow up on a question it could not answer. If you give it a name, a number or an email address during the call, that is kept with the transcript for the same 30 days and used only to get back to you.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in showing and improving the service to the businesses that try it. You can ask us to delete a recording at any time through the booking link on this site.

The button is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile in the same way as the form above.

5. Booking a call

If you book a call with us we use Calendly (Calendly LLC, USA). Calendly’s booking calendar loads when you open it on our site, scroll to the calendar at the foot of a page, ask our AI receptionist to book a call, or follow the booking link, which may transfer data to and set cookies via Calendly. Details you submit to book are processed by Calendly and by us to arrange and follow up on your call (legitimate interest).

6. Our AI receptionist service

Where we provide the AI receptionist to a business customer, calls are processed on our customer’s behalf to answer, book and capture enquiries. For that processing the business is the controller and we act as processor under a data-processing agreement; call data is handled in line with UK and EU data-protection rules.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and to complain to the ICO. To exercise any right, contact us through the booking link on this site.
